A Horse is a Horse Even in New York
Besides the carriage rides through Central Park, you might not expect a horse livery stable to be playing host to children with physical and emotional challenges. There, in the middle of a bustling city, a huge percheron, some spotted draft horses, Belgians, and 2 standardbreds stand patiently while children climb atop, rub their manes, grab the reins or gently smile when petting the velvet noses of these most amazing creatures. It is a most unusual therapy which concentrates on balance, rhythm and a harmony with nature.
