All Stocked Up
The sight of your horse’s hind legs swollen from mid-cannon to coronary band may send you racing to call your veterinarian. But before you do, take a moment to gather a few more clues and determine if your horse has a case of stocking up, a harmless condition. “Stocking up” is the common term for diffuse swelling in the lower legs that results when fluids normally cleared by the lymphatic system build up.
