Breeding Gypsy Vanner Horses
Gypsy Vanner Stallions have grown in popularity since the introduction in the United States in the mid 1990s. They were first bred by the Gypsy nomadic people to add flair to their caravans and still be a good pack horse. The breed originated from a combination of the Clydesdale, Fells pony, Highland pony and Dales pony. This article discusses the various methods of breeding the horses and the pros and cons of each method.
