Looking After Your Horse’s Hooves
Although I have been an avid rider for a few years now, I have finally bought my own horse. She cost an arm and a leg, but was definitely worth it, I think. However, one thing I realized when I bought her, is that I know very little about the general upkeep of a horse, most notably, the proper upkeep of their hooves and the application of shoes. Having waded through a veritable ocean of information on this topic, not all of it entirely comprehensible, I have decided to try and write a brief review of whether you should shoe your horse and when it needs doing.
