If you are new to horse riding and you would like to ride on a western saddle, then you can choose just about any saddle that you can afford and that fits you and the horse - however buying quality is an absolute must! Whilst looking for a new saddle you may find that it is very expensive and possibly unaffordable to buy a new saddle - however there is a way around this.
